Jen
I grew up as an avid animal saver in New Mexico. I was
well known in my family for my attempts to “have
mother fix” the various animals I would bring home.
When I was 5, I acquired my first puppy. We were peanut
butter and jelly! Also a Nature and philosophy lover,
I am a true believer in the purr at heart. |

Linda
Linda was born and raised in Middle Tennessee, married
with one son. I’ve lived in White House for 29 years
and have enjoyed every minute. My hobbies are sewing and
ceramics.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Doctors Ted
and Dana Horner since 1998 and look forward to the future.
I’ve always had a great love for animals, but working
with pets and seeing the relationship and joy they bring
to our lives is just tremendous. |

Emma
Emma was born and raised in Tennessee. I have worked in
veterinary medicine for 37 years, 29 years at Caudle Vet
Clinic in Nashville and the past 8 at Hoof and Paw Animal
Clinic. I’m married and have two children and two
grandchildren. I cannot imagine any other job that is
as fulfilling as helping people take care of their four
legged best friends. |

Jen
I am Jen….better known as the “NEJ”.
I have been working as a veterinary assistant for 8 years,
33 years if you count my childhood. It is an ever changing
job bringing new challenges and rewards daily. I enjoy
working with pets and their families helping them through
the fun and difficult times. There is no other job that
I could imagine doing.
I have a four-legged daughter “Anna” and all
of my spare time is spent with my twin niece and nephew.
Family is the most important thing in life be it two-legged
or four-legged and I always carry this philosophy in my
job.

Joyce
Joyce has two daughters and two granddaughters.
I’ve worked as office manager of Hoof and Paw Animal
Clinic for eight years. My daughter, Dr. Dana, introduced
me to veterinary medicine when she was only “three
years old.” My experiences over the past eight years
have made all of the “hardships” of the child
with the long college life worth it. |

Pam
I have worked at Hoof and Paw Animal Clinic for
8 years and have been working in this profession since
1990. I have a son and daughter who keep me busy and often
drive me crazy. My husband and I have been together for
16 years. We have a dog named “Madam Huzzy”,
five misfit cats “Kung Fu, Kabuki, Xena, Dora, and
Junior”, one naked rat “Wrinkles” and
a fish named Fish. I have raised a variety of woodland
creatures and birds over the years. As you can see my
love for animals is unending. My other passion is cooking
and my coworkers appreciate me mostly for chocolate chip
cheesecake and brownies. If ever a pet in need I am there…
just ask the folks at Chick-Fil-A. |

Lindsey
& Kayla
Lindsey
I have been taking my pets to Hoof and Paw for as long
as I can remember and every visit there had made me want
to become a veterinarian. I’m a lover of all animals
except snakes and lizards! I’m a junior at East
Robertson High School and am a member of the golf team.
I have taken this job because I love to help animals and
also love to play with them.
Kayla
I knew the second Hoof and Paw decided to relocate I wanted
the opportunity to be a part of such a great place! I’ve
loved dogs since I was a little girl. I have four of my
own and adore them very much! I am a junior this year
…soon to be senior… and the decisions of what
career and what college to choose has slowly crept up
on me! I’ve always wanted to be veterinarian, so
a chance to be a part of Orchard Park seemed to be the
perfect idea. It has only been a few weeks now, but I
can tell this job is all I’ve ever wanted! The staff
here is wonderful- I love it here! |

Hi, I am Brooke and I have lived in Gallatin
all of my life. Believe me, I am not as young as I look.
I’ve been married for five years and spend a lot
of my time playing with my kids. I have a daughter who
is 2 years-old and a son that was born December 30, 2006.
I’ve been in this profession since 1998. I attended
Columbia State and received my Associates degree and became
a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I was inspired to go
to school because of my love for animals. I have an 8
year-old 70 pound mix dog named “Chance”,
2 cats “Sydney” and “Annive, and a hamster
named “Blackberry”. Oh yeah and I have a wonderful
husband who is the ring master of our circus. |

Cathy
(Pet Stylist)
Hello, my name is Cathy and I’m the pet
stylist here at Orchard Park Animal Hospital. I graduated
from Nash Academy of Animal Arts, a grooming school, in
1981. I was taught by instructors who have competed and
placed in grooming competitions both nationally and internationally.
Through the years I have kept up with the changing styles,
techniques and equipment through grooming clinic, competitions,
and trade shows. I have continued my education by choosing
to test to become certified with the National Dog Groomers
Association and by periodically returning to Nash Academy
to fine tune my skills and learn new ones. I love what
I do. I pay close attention to details that you may not
notice individually but put together as a whole give your
pet that extra special look.
On a personal note, I have been an animal lover since
day one, always bringing something home. I once pretended
that my neighbor was my grandfather to get a kitten from
the local pet shop, (Mom loved that one!) And as a teenager,
hid two kittens in my room for two weeks. At 15 years-old
I started working at a pet shop and it got worse from
then on.
I am now married to a wonderful, patient man and we have
3 sons, 4 dogs, 5 cats and 1 three foot iguana.
On the job I only groom a few pets daily to create a relaxed
atmosphere for all of us. I love to get to know your pets
and for them to get to know and trust me. I want your
pets to enjoy coming to Orchard Park for their baths and
sprucing up. Hope to see you soon! |
